Nail surgery is often the best option for sorting out an ingrown nail but if we feel a less severe treatment is needed, or for some reason you shouldn’t  or can’t have nail surgery then we can also offer a nail cut under local anaesthetic.

This is a very similar process to nail surgery but is less invasive and does not use a chemical to kill the nail cells so your nail will grow back. 

A nail cut under local anaesthetic often just buys us time to take you out of pain and to allow the sore area to heal. If this is not successful then nail surgery as above will be recommended.
