Emma Price

Clinic Owner

Emma is the Clinical Director and owner based in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire and has now stepped back from clinical work to be in charge of running the amazing podiatry team which has developed over the last 10 years.

Emma graduated with a First Class honours degree from the Birmingham School of Podiatry in July 2013 and in the autumn of 2018 Emma was accepted to be a member of the Faculty of Podiatric Medicine at the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons, Glasgow.

Emma’s particular interests revolve around sports injuries and musculoskeletal podiatry and has worked with many of the running clubs in town, Cheltenham Town Football Club, Gloucester Rugby, Worcester Warriors,British Ultimate Frisbee and has a strong referral network in Gloucestershire with physiotherapists and orthopaedic surgeons.

“While I was training for the Cheltenham half in 2018 I injured my knee and almost had to pull out (in fact, I had to walk the last 3 miles) so I totally understand the frustration surrounding injuries and facing a race deadline or goal. I am happy to talk through your frustrations and pain points and then we can work together to find a solution if you have a lower limb injury.”

Outside of work, Emma loves to go to the Opera, loves mountain biking, is a keen dog walker and has just started to learn to play tennis - Watch this space!!

Sam Chidwick

Podiatrist and Clinical Lead

Sam joined our team in 2017. He works four days a week in Cheltenham.

Along with being an excellent Podiatrist, Sam brings a wealth of experience in sports injuries, personal training, running and martial arts.

“I studied Podiatry at the University of Southampton from 2005-2008 and have been working in the profession since then in both the NHS and private sectors. I completed a Masters Degree 2015 in Musculoskeletal Studies of the Lower Limb which culminated in a dissertation and research on running injuries and prevention for which I received a distinction.

I am passionate about all areas of Podiatry, however I have focused much of my training on musculoskeletal and sports podiatry, as well as foot orthotic therapy, exercise therapy and injury prevention and I have had the pleasure of working with many fantastic clients and exceptional individuals throughout my career.

As an accomplished runner and martial artist (Karate black belt and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu purple belt) I have had my fair share of injuries, from heel pain and “shin splints” to a dislocated shoulder, broken toes and torn tendons. I know how frustrating injury is and the importance of finding good medical care. This drives me to want to be the best podiatrist I can be for my patients to help them keep active and on their feet.

I am also a keen surfer and paddle boarder and unfortunately developed an ingrowing toenail from tight wetsuit boots in 2019 which Emma (Supafoot’s owner) kindly operated on in 2020, a procedure we all perform here at Supafoot, and my nail has never felt better.

Katie Smith

Podiatrist

Katie is the newest addition to the wonderful team at Supafoot Cheltenham.

Katie has been working Bath for the last 4 years and we are delighted to welcome her this June.

" I studied Podiatry at the University of Plymouth from 2015-2018. For the last 4 years I have been working in the private sector, where I operated a one chair clinic within a health and wellbeing store that specialised in comfortable footwear and custom made orthotics. My passion in working with feet and the importance of looking after ones body, began when I started my journey on an acute Stroke ward as an Auxiliary Nurse. Rehabilitating and being part of a patients recovery when they were at their lowest time both physical and mentally, was truly rewarding. Seeing their progression from in some cases bedbound to walking, entitled me to a sense of pride in knowing that I was part of their journey. I have always had a keen interest in helping people 'better' themselves in life! From a simple nail cut to helping someone overcome an injury so that they can go about their daily activities pain free, and in some cases run that marathon! When I am not in work, there is nothing I would rather do than walking in my hometown of the FOD, getting lost in the woods with a flask of coffee and my 9 year old black Labrador".

Edward Pickersgill

Podiatrist

Edward joined Supafoot in April 2022.

Podiatry is a passion of mine and has allowed me the opportunity to run my own clinics overseas in Australia. I have developed a skill set dedicated towards those recovering from musculoskeletal injuries.

As a skilled podiatrist of 13 years my dedication to my patients has been extremely rewarding and with a wide range of clinical experience, I still continue to develop my skill set in podiatry, especially in the musculoskeletal field to better care for my patients.

When not at Supafoot you will find me trail running around the Malvern Hills and yes we too can succumb to injuries too! Recently Emma has been treating a chronic achilles tendinopathy pain of mine with the clinics shock wave therapy . I m happy to to say that I m now back to running the distance I was before my injury.
